From the very talented Lynn Rush we have the third novel in her Violet Night Trilogy. I have never met someone who can turn out a novel so fast and have written it so well. I expect to see Lynn at the top of the New York Times Best Seller list someday and will shout out her name. No one works as hard and as long, as she does. Genre: New Adult Emma Martin may have severed her mind-scrambling bloodlink by killing the vicious vampire, Seth, but he’s left his mark. When she starts to lose time and begins hearing strange voices, Emma fears she’s either going crazy, or something much darker has weaseled its way into her mind—and her soul. Jake Cunningham’s greatest fears come to fruition when an ancient evil, able to change humans into vampires through his bite, comes for his fiancée, Emma. Jake’s faith is tested beyond human limits as he fights to save his soulmate from an eternity of darkness. Love might not be enough to light the path back to one another. Biography Driven to write, Lynn Rush often sees her characters by closing her eyes watching their story unfold in her mind. Lynn Rush is a pen name that is a combination of two sources – Lynn, the first name of her mother-in-law, who passed away and Rush – since the author is a former inline speed skater and mountain biker. All of Rush’s books are dedicated to Lynn, her namesake. Rush holds a degree in psychology from Southwest Minnesota State University and a master's degree from the University of Iowa. Originally from Minneapolis, Rush currently enjoys living in the Arizona sunshine by road biking nearly 100 miles per week with her husband of 15 years and jogging with her two loveable Shetland Sheep dogs. In Violet Storm, Emma, who has already destroyed the vampire Seth, believes she is safe. Until all of a sudden, mysterious voices sound in her mind and she's faced with insanity, or the realization that something else is after her. It is this ancient evil that Emma and Jake must confront with some serious fight scenes and of course, a mind-bending ending. Old characters are re-introduced and some characters die away. It is the way with serials. *sigh* Fun, action-packed, and filled with humor and challenges, this New Adult vampire paranormal romance is filled with everything one needs for a great weekend read. If you haven't read the rest of the trilogy, I'd suggest you do. They are too good to be missed. Happy Reading! Comments are closed.
