![]() Each week, I compile new Sci-Fi and Time Travel romances for Happy Ever After at USA Today. I haven't enjoyed doing something so much in a long time. I have the opportunity to check out new releases and since I'm a Vine Reviewer for Amazon, I get to request, and often get, advanced reader's copies. For a passionate reader as well as a writer nothing could make me happier. I'd like to thank Joyce Lamb, the curator of HEA, for letting me cruise the Internet picking up good books I can't wait to read. This week had some great new releases and in case you don't visit USA Today, you can check out them out here as well. I've included the buy links, and I must say, the covers are fantastic. I've also thrown in a horror novel. Just couldn't help myself. *grin* ![]() In This Kingdom by the Sea, Book 3, by Icy Snow Blackstone (Class Act Books) Orphaned at the age of nine, Darien-Marcus san Gene is raised by his father’s three best friends to become margrave of Arcanis and the Emeraunt Galaxy. He’s given a mistress when he’s twelve, a wife when he’s thirteen, and at age nineteen, develops a tremendous desire to rebel all on his own. As they grow into passionate adults, the prince and his bride sets out to reform the world he considers "stuffy and old-fashioned" and there’s nothing his staid advisors can do but sit back and watch the fireworks. ![]() Stone Guardian (Entwined Realms) by Danielle Monsch (Romantic Geek Publishing) Larissa Miller may have been born after the Great Collision, but as a history teacher who lives in the human-only city, she has never come into contact with any other race or species. Leader of the Gargoyles, Terak has been watching over the human woman for months because of a cryptic prophecy. Gargoyles trust no one outside their Clan, but something about this woman stirs every protective instinct within him. When he realizes the danger to her is real, he refuses to allow her to explore this new world without him at her side. ![]() Blackwater Lights by Michael M. Hughes (Random House/Hydra) When Ray Simon receives a desperate call from his childhood friend Kevin, begging him to visit, Ray can’t say no. But when Ray arrives, Kevin is nowhere to be found. Then a midnight encounter with strange floating lights sparks a return of old memories—vivid but fractured images that haunt Ray’s waking hours with intimations of terror and cruelty. Now with the help of his new friend Ellen, a waitress at the local diner, Ray must navigate a path through madness and murder—a path that leads inexorably to an all-but-forgotten night in his childhood . . . and to a future of unimaginable horror. I hope you have a wonderful weekend filled with everything you love. (((hugs))) Louann Comments are closed.
