I wish you the VERY best of luck. I loved reading Medusa. In fact, all due to Sasha Summers, Medusa is now one of my favorite myths. For those of you who don't know, Medusa is a mythical gorgon straight out of the Greek tragedies. She was a disgustingly ugly creature with snakes as hair and she could turn a man to stone just by looking at him. But she wasn't always brutal to look upon. In fact, she was once very beautiful. Medusa lived in the north, where the sun never shined. She was a curious creature, always into something or the other. One day, she asked the Goddess Athena for permission to visit the south. Athena refused. I don't remember why Athena said no, only that she did. Being young, beautiful, and uh, mouthy, Medusa got angry and told Athena off. She claimed Athena was just jealous of her beauty. Now, it's never good to piss off a Goddess, but by this time it was too late. Athena turned Medusa's hair into snakes and made her so ugly, she turned men into stone whenever they looked at her. Five Star Review First off, Sasha Summers did her homework. The tale stays true to the myth, but the love story is new. How is that possible? You'll have to read the book to find out. The human daughter of Phorcys, Medusa lives a life of servitude to Athena and longs to be free. Strikingly beautiful, Poseidon wants her for his own. Instead, Medusa falls in love with Artison, her guard. Once she gains her freedom it is to him that she runs. Artison is as good a hunk as it gets and you immediately see how Medusa is drawn to him. The Gods play with the couple, creating conflict after conflict. You will ache for Medusa's innocence and cheer when the protagonists get what they deserve. The romance between Artison and Medusa is epic in nature, beautifully portrayed, filled with passion, and oh so touching. I recommend this book to anyone who loves an epic love story. Medusa will pull at your heart strings. You won't put the book down until it is finished. Even if you're not into myths, Medusa echos some of the greatest love stories ever told. Thanks for sharing her story, Sasha. Biography Sasha is part gypsy. Born June 9, 1974, stories have always played an important role in her life. Her passions have always been storytelling, Hollywood, history, and travel. It’s no surprise that her books include a little of each. Her first play, ‘Greek Gods and Goddesses’ was written for her Girl Scout troupe. She’s been writing ever since. She loves getting lost in the worlds and characters she creates; even if she frequently forgets to run the dishwasher or wash socks when she’s doing so. Luckily, her four brilliant children and hero-inspiring hubby are super understanding and supportive. Where to find Sasha on the web!
