So. Hello. How are you? I'm a little frantic and a little puzzled with life which is not unusual for me. This is a busy week. July 26-29th I'm participating in the Blogger Book Fair. I'll post the blog on the 26th where you'll get to participate in winning tons of free stuff from not only me but a whole bunch of other writers in all types of genres. On the 27th, I'll be at Sasha Summer's blog. I had a great time answering all her inteview questions. Then, on August 1st, I'll be at author Patricia Lee's website answering even more questions. Trust me on this one, you'll learn stuff about me you didn't know. Last Friday night my husband and I dropped anchor in the lake and swam until the sun went down. It was just the two of us--the perfect number. After the swim we sat in the boat and watched the birds. I fed the ducks stale chips when what do you know? The biggest damn bass I'd ever seen swam from under the boat. I mean it was huge! So, I started screaming and pointing which accomplished nothing except to make the darn fish swim deeper. Now my story will become just another fish story. Which is kinda sad. Bright and early Saturday morning we headed down to the Bay Area and my granddaughter's second birthday party. I ate everything I wasn't suppose to eat, including a hefty piece of cake. So what if I got a little sick to my stomach. I still had the best time. At least until my other granddaughter got sick. Her temp was nearly 100 and since I'm on Humira I have a dicey immune system, but what the hell, I threw caution to the wind and snuggled with her. My little two year-old Allison had a runny nose and once again, I braved the dangerous world. By the time I got home on Sunday, I was pooped. We shuttered ourselves into the bedroom and turned on the air conditioning, thinking I'd sleep clear through until this morning. Wrong... The thunder and lightning hit about 4am. And it was bad. Chelsea, my 17 year-old pitbull crawled under the bed and started shaking which woke us both up so we could enjoy the light show. Not... I realize that by the time the thunder hits the lightning is over, but try telling that to my brain. I shivered and shook along with the dog, making for an exhausing work day. That's my update for today. Hang tough everyone and happy reading! Oh, and I'm in the process of reading the Celtic Conspiracy. What a great book! Review to follow. *hugs* Louann
