I wrote The Reluctant Reader years ago. I decided to have it republished because as a writer you never stop learning and as an illustrator you never stop creating and my kid's books are my, um, experimental books.
In The Reluctant Reader I decided to use my REAL reluctant reader, Jack, my second to the oldest grandson who ALWAYS wants to be first. Now, my Jack, is quite an accomplishment all on his own. When he wants something he sets out to get it and he works hard, much much harder than most people. He wanted to play football and he does. JV for him was moved aside to Varsity before anyone could blink an eye. And in his wrestling he has been known to take the prize on many occasions. Jack is so determined that I cannot imagine where that strength is going to take him. I talked to him last night on the phone to let him know what I was doing and he asked me where the money from the book was going to go. I replied, "Into your college fund." I thought I would share the cover and some of the inside pics of The Reluctant Reader. I hope you enjoy them.

I bought your children's books and my kids love them. Are you going to stop writing horror? Comments are closed.
