Have you ever noticed that when you are bored you pick up your phone and check FB or Twitter or Hootsuite or Google + or whatever? I do. I think that is what's helped me keep the weight off after my Remicade infusions started working. In any case, I am addicted to my phone which is why, today, when we lost multiple hours of electricity, I ate multiple chocolate truffles and why now, hours later when the electricity is up, I feel sick. I know I shouldn't eat chocolate truffles, but I like to eat when I read and since reading was all I had to do, I ate the only thing available. Chocolate truffles. To hell with Crohn's disease. As I said last week, I have been pondering my social media presence. With over seven hundred friends and even more on Twitter, I have a hard time keeping up with everyone. It takes me hours to scroll through posts to find updates on family and friends. I needed to find a way to resolve this because if I just searched for family and friends, I was neglecting my fan base and author friendships and they mean a lot to me, too. So, I did what any intelligent person would do and stopped following my family. I know that sounds crazy, but the updates I get are from author friendships and fans and when I want to see what's up with family I just search their names. It's really easy and has cleaned up my news feed. I generally know what's happening with my family and if something comes up and I'm curious, I can get the info at the stroke of a finger. You can also unfollow people who get on your nerves but remain friends. Nice... I haven't done anything with Twitter yet. I have a book cover coming this month and a new novel out this October, so I need to do something. The last time I checked Twitter there were two IMPORTANT messages I'd missed. They were from my Crohnie friends and sometimes they mean more to me than family. Like now. When I have a chocolate stomach ache. That's it for today. I'm back to work on Innocent Blood a paranormal crime novel designed to knock your socks off. Actually, it's a book noir piece I think you'll find interesting and immensely entertaining.
