The pictures above are taken from the Denver Airport. The airport has since taken them down, but these were the murals originally intended for the walls of the airport. Now, I don't pretend to know why the artist decided to paint these, but I can sure as hell tell him/her that those pics are not going to make flying any easier.
Sometimes I wonder if I'm the only one who sees the gathering storm. You've got Putin invading Ukraine which is frighteningly familiar for those of us over fifty. You've got Greece needing to leave the Euro but the European Union won't let them go because they believe it will be the beginning of the end for the Euro. In the meantime, Greece is just steps away from hyperinflation and collapse. Add a dash of salt, shake it up and down, throw in some ISIS and you have one hell of a brew. If someone had asked me twenty years ago if a rag tag group of jihadists would be slaughtering Christians just because they are Christian I would not have believed you. However, the last few days I've done a little researching on my own and discovered that ISIS WANTS to bring about Armageddon. As we sit back and witness the brutal beheadings and immolations you have to wonder what they know and we do not. This group of jihadists is now in Iraq, Libya and Syria. They are driving our trucks and using our weapons. What else did we leave behind for them to use? I shudder to think. They are raping and marrying off nine-year-old girls aside from murder and mahem. You have to wonder what is in their hearts. And so, against this backdrop a friend asks me to read and review Cracking The Bible Code by Jeffrey Satinover, M.D. Not a good idea when you have all this crap going on. So what did I think? First off, I'm no mathematician so I can't prove what Dr. Satinover reveals, but the book is absolutely fascinating. It's the tenth printing of Cracking the Bible Code since 1999. Not a bad run. I wish I'd read it years ago. Cracking the Bible Code is... all about code. You remember the Christmas Story and the Little Orphan Annie decoder button? Well, it's kinda like that only the comparison is rudimentary, but you get my point. The book tracks the evolution of code which is quite interesting in and of itself. Apparently the Kabbalah mystics have known about this for years. Thousands of years. And yes, I am starting to think further exploration of the codes is necessary. We are told that codes were used first by secret societies thousands of years ago. In fact, he claims that in the first five books of the Bible/Torah everything is revealed right down to the name of every person who has ever lived on this planet. The Torah is the very thread that binds us all together IF you know the code to find it. Ever wondered if your name is in the book of life? Cracking the Bible Code puts new meaning on it that's for sure. But seriously, I am not the person to judge the book. I have a hard time with multiplication. Satinover is a psychiatrist, a physicist, and and a scholar with a background in science and religion so it is hard to discount him. His writing is beautiful and his passion clearly expressed. It is, in a way, almost poetic. So much so it gave rise to some beautiful dreams last night for which I thank him. The code was rediscovered by a senior cryptologist mathematician with the United States Department of State. Kinda hard to discount him too. But, since I am not a brilliant mathematician I can never prove or disprove the book so that makes reviewing it extremely difficult. Based on the writing alone, it is a beautiful book. You will see mystical threads woven throughout the world, threads that should be used to bring us together, but are instead used to tear us apart. It opens up the mind of God, reassuring us that we are never alone and that we are, in fact, intimately connected with every thing and every one. Comments are closed.
