Blurb: This is the story of our search for a new world, a better place where the heart rules. Where the head rules there is greed, animosity, hatred, competition and war. The head is all about living for ourselves, and thinking only about #1. Where the heart rules there is cooperation, respect, compassion, love, care and forgiveness. The heart reflects all that is good and kind in the Universe and seeks to make it a reality in our lives. This is a book of hope and promise amidst the present confusion and disappointments of our sad world. My Amazon 4 Star Review I received this book in exchange for an honest review. The Amazing Secret in your Heart puts forth the general New Age ideals about unconditional love (I mean how does one love a child rapist) and I had a sense of behind the scenes New World Order coming to a country near you propaganda. DaCosta contends there are people, companies, organizations, governments, helping to bring about this new order and some of them are the very people who subjugate the poor in the world today (in my opinion.) That is not to say that DaCosta does not believe everything he says because I sense he does. Yes, we are all connected but when I revisit the Hundredth Monkey theorem I am reminded of an article in Strategies for Cultural Change published many years ago that refutes the argument which makes me think: How then, is world peace to be accomplished? DaCosta threads Christian theology and science to produce a pathway to utopia but then quotes some as saying that individualism is the problem. It is my opinion that only individualism will bring about change. A government cannot force a human being to think differently. Corporations, scientists, religious leaders, billionaires, multi-millionaires cannot bring about change. They can offer a pathway to education and/or write a few books, but you cannot force someone to accept your ideals. Only the individual can bring about change in their own heart and only life can create the experiences necessary to allow an individual to see through different eyes. It was Vince's heart attack that forced him to change, not a pamphlet, or a book, or a place of higher learning and that is not to say that books and places of higher learning are not commendable. But still, they cannot force someone to change their viewpoint. While DaCosta's sentiments are beautiful and references to Biblical quotes are uplifting, indeed, Christ said: "Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword." While The Amazing Secret in your Heart is self-published and in great need of reformatting, I promise it will give you much to ponder. Vince DaCosta is very real in his testimony and the book worth reading. He supports religion with science and makes a good argument for a peace project and who could argue against it? Except, evil exists and that is a fact. Until you face evil and accept responsibility for its creation one person at a time, life will continue on much as before. I gave The Amazing Secret in your Heart four stars because even if I agree in spirit and do not agree in physical, there are multidimensional worlds around us where peace reins supreme. About the Author Vince DaCosta (1930 - ) was born in Kingston, Jamaica and spent the first 30 years of his life in that beautiful Caribbean island of the West Indies. He was educated at Calabar College and was outstanding in the sporting events of Football (Soccer), Cricket and especially Track and Field athletics. He followed closely in the footsteps of Herb McKenley (Jamaica's Helsinki Olympics winner - 1952) and was often referred to as the young McKenley. He represented his college in the annual Athletic Championships where the best of the island's athletes competed. Vince immigrated to Canada in 1961 and quickly became involved with the Toastmasters International organization. He moved quickly through the various Leadership levels and became an International Director in 1986. During this phase of his activities he excelled in Public Speaking and filled his home and office with trophies, plaques, citations and certificates achieved through his speaking skills. This was excellent preparation for his life's ambition to become a Public Speaker and Leader in the field of Personal Development. Finally he blended his experience, communication skills and energy and authored three books. His first book "Influence Persuade and Win" became the text for an annual course at Humber Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning, one of the leading Corporate Education Centers in Ontario Canada. Subsequently he authored "Life One-0-One - Find your Purpose", a discourse on some of the fundamental techniques for meeting the everyday challenges of life. His third book "The Amazing Secret in your Heart - Your connection to another Dimension" deals with the emotional power hidden in our hearts. He envisions a dramatic transformation if we learn to live heart centered lives. He foresees a Shift in Consciousness and a New World rising from the confusion and hopelessness of our present world.
