I don't think I really got the angst of what people were going through until I ventured onto Facebook last night. While I suspected Trump would win, simply because Clinton had ignored Middle America and WikiLeaks, I was still surprised. I analyzed my feelings and if you are interested you can find them here or copy and paste:
http://us.blastingnews.com/opinion/2016/11/why-donald-trump-won-the-presidency-001247217.html into your browser. Some of the comments on Facebook went like: I am going to vomit I am just going to die! I have to leave the country What is wrong with this world! How could this happen! If you are like me and a few others, you can take heart because you are actually living in an alternate dimension. After all, what else makes sense out of a senseless election? I refrained from posting and tweeting about election matters for the last month or so. Aside from the fact that my brother passed away, I had a feeling this was not going to turn out well for the millions of Americans that wanted Hillary to win. I read the WikiLeak emails until my eyes were blurry and my head was pounding and I learned a lot about how politics is played. Let me tell you, that education is enough to send you into the bathroom with a load of vomit in your mouth. If you get a chance, read them. I know everyone wanted a woman to win the presidency, but it is possible she was not the right one. I don't pretend to have inside knowledge, but if you do the research... I know I will catch hell from this but Snowden and Julian Assange are heroes in my eyes. Snowden brought us the NSA and spying on the American people and Julian the truth behind the lies in the form of emails illegally obtained, but worthy of a close read nonetheless. You can read Assange's statement here or copy and paste this into your browser: https://wikileaks.org/Assange-Statement-on-the-US-Election.html Someday these two men will go down in history as our greatest patriots and one of them isn't even a citizen. In any event, if I am proven wrong I have no problem saying I'm sorry. For now, we will have to take Trump or leave the country. The thought of him as president scares the beejeezes out of me. I hope he's a fast learner and not as brash as he sounds. In any case, we have to work together to make this country work. So, let's put our differences aside and get on with getting on.
