I don't think there is a part of me that doesn't hurt at the moment. From my guts to my mouth, boy, do I have pain. Catching a cold while on prednisone coupled with a Crohn"s dance is not the way to start the new year. As this is a blog about books, writing, and Crohn's, I've reserved this week for Crohn's since it has taken over my life again. Which sucks. I have decided to re-read Stranger in a Strange Land, which is kinda how I feel at the moment. Strange and stranger. I woke up this morning and almost passed out in the shower. I tried to eat and that didn't go well. I'm down nearly 40 pounds since this started and I'm feeling pretty weak. I can't wait for Remicade approval. Actually, if I thought it would do any good, I'd get myself over to the hospital and beg. If you've never read Stranger in a Strange Land, I would suggest you give it a shot. The author is Robert A Heinlein and it is enormously entertaining and thought provoking. The basic line is that after a Mars mission gone bad, one human was left behind who was eventually retrieved by another mission from earth. The human being that comes back is not quite human and not quite Martian. You have to grock the book to get it. That's it for me today. Hopefully, next week I'll be better and the blog will be up as usual. Blessings! Louann
