About the Book

About the Author

Courtney Farrell is a biologist who turned her love of books into a career as an author. After publishing fourteen nonfiction books for young people, she began writing fiction. Her novel 'Sacrificed' won the 2015 BTS Red Carpet Award in the YA division, and earned an Honorable Mention in that contest for Best Book of the Year. Courtney lives with her sons on a Colorado ranch where they enjoy a menagerie of horses, dogs, cats, and chickens.
