Shadowlands by Louann Carroll

I love giving birth to a new book. Well, in this case, a novella. Shadowlands should be out the first week of September and it is a prequel to A Shadow of Time.

When I wrote A Shadow of Time, I fell in love with Leanore Civiletti, Connie's mother.  I found her a well of inspiration, hope, tenacity, and strength. While working on Gemini Three, Leanore decided to butt into my life. I could not write another sentence until Shadowlands was written, edited, and ready to be published. Leanore was determined to get her story told.

Jack, Leanore's husband is lost in time and it is up to Leanore to find him. While most of the people in her world believe Jack to be dead, only she knows different. Jack is very much alive and living with another Leanore in a very different dimension. Trusting her instincts, she sets out to find him, and along the way discovers assistance from the most unlikely of places, and a love that transcends time. 

I had so much fun writing Shadowlands. I have two more stories mulling in my imagination, and will tell them as soon as Gemini Three is finished. It will be sad to say good-bye to the series, but everything comes to an end. That said, while I was once leery of e-books, I am now convinced they have found a home. E-books are the perfect venue for novellas and reading a shorter book on your Kindle is a lot easier on the eyes.
