I couldn't put Simon Toyne's 'Sanctus' down... Irritating my family and friends, the book went with me everywhere. Fortunately, I have a large purse. I loved the Da Vinci Code and Sanctus is as good a read as it gets. An ancient relic lies hidden within the Citadel, protected by a group of monks referred to as the Sanctus. Located in modern-day Turkey, the Citadel protects the Tau, a symbol that will one day be freed from its imprisonment ushering in a new era for mankind. American crime reporter, Liv Adamson, grieving the death of her brother, sets out to discover the secrets the Citadel holds. Facing death, kidnapping, and a brotherhood of deception, Liv will uncover the mysteries that have eluded mankind for generations. Full of action, Sanctus is a thought provoking novel that really gripped me. I found the first few chapters a little slow, but the action picked up soon after. Written in easy-to-follow language, full of excitement and wonder, I would heartily recommend Santus to anyone who enjoys religious thrillers and mysteries. Well done! Comments are closed.
