By Louann Carroll VINE VOICE on November 12, 2015 Format: Kindle EditionEmily Von Peer has nightmares and in them is the man of her dreams. He's sexy, handsome, and thoroughly male, but he isn't real and that's a problem. The next issue is, he dies every night in her dreams. Grieving the mysterious death of her aunt, Emily returns home where shortly after she discovers the house has locked her inside. Something lurks in the garden that is meant for Emily's destruction and it is the house's duty to protect her. When the threat is over, she comes face to face with the man she loves in the front yard of her home. Nicholas Flynn is real, he's sexy, and he's just as handsome. He also a member of the Paladin, a group of men and women dedicated to destroying demons. One of which just trampled through her yard. After another encounter with the demon Emily receives an injury that could turn her into a demon which Nicholas is bound to destroy. Nicholas' mother, a mighty Paladin, is determined to save her only surviving son and soon Emily and Nicholas are thrust into a world where the ordinary becomes the extraordinary and angels and demons come out to play. Premonition is a delightful if sometimes dark and sometimes light-hearted novel you are sure to get lost in. The novel is well-written and thoroughly enjoyable. It is suitable for young adult and even for oldsters. I love the way Jayne weaves her tale with poetic precision.
