This is a big thank you to my readers. I appreciate each one of you. Thank you for your comments and for your e-mails. Please, keep them coming. Last weekend was fairly relaxing. The 49ers won which was nice. I'm not a fan, but my brother is and their win made him happy. I'm okay with that. A couple of thing happened last week that made me laugh, cry, or just shrug my shoulders at the futility of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Here are a few parries of verbiage; things I didn't think I'd ever say or have said to me. Two questions and answers from my doc on the new health care law: "Do you own or carry a gun?" she asks. "Ah, no. Even if I did it's none of your business and has nothing to do with Crohn's." Big smile. "Just rehearsing my new skill set for next year." "Um, will Obamacare continue to cover my Humira injections for Crohn's?" I rub my forehead while waiting for an answer. "I don't know. We'll have to let the death panel decide. By the way, just how expensive is it? Before leaving for the vets: STOP biting your brother over doggie cookies. On the way to the emergency room: The rubber band goes the OTHER WAY on your sling shot. To my husband: It's a good thing to print money, right? The central bank does it every day! To the bank: You mean I have to prove to you where the money came from in order to get a loan? To my mother-in-law: What happened in his childhood to make him so miserable? To my sister-in-law: Maybe my brother finds it as difficult to stop smoking as you do to quit drinking. To my BFF: What do you mean I can't buy a big gulp in New York! And on that note I leave you so I can finish the edit of Gemini Two. ((hugs))) Louann

I quit the news cold turkey. Had to or I'd go nuts. When I learned about the Big Gulp issue I nearly passed out. It's as funny as it is sad. A Big Gulp is OK people, just don't drink them every day. You need the mayor to tell you that? Comments are closed.
