Muse Unleashed!

As a writer, I sometimes get these little stories that hit me out of the blue demanding to be written. Most of the time I silence them, this time they threatened me with death by chocolate. I thought there were three tales  in these lunchtime horror shorts, but no, book four demanded its right to exist and the Snickers bar was looking pretty good. I decided writing was better than eating and there were just a couple of shorts to work through, so I gave it a shot.  I thought, this is easy peasy.

Not.

As I complained before, self-publishing is HARD work.

Once book four started brandishing chocolate, I knew I was done for. I had to go back and redo the inside of each short to reflect each story and then I had to add what book cover belongs to which story. I won't even tell you how many times I published and republished each short with and without the proper cover, but I know the answer is  in cyberspace waiting to trounce me when I'm not looking.

The fun thing about these horror shorts is I just let them flow. They went through my fingers and out into the typewriter. I did minimal editing, as I've said I am a writer not an editor, but did make sure the stories sounded right. It was a fun experiment in automatic writing and I really am anxious to hear what you think. 

Now it's back to work on Gemini three and I've told my muse not to bother me until it is done.
