I am not an artist, but I do like color and balance. Sometimes I can see it right away and at other times I can't see it at all. I wasn't happy with the first version of the cover for Professor Peanuts and his Pals, but I am getting closer to what I want. My next step is moving into the world of art which for me is a huge endeavor and one well worth pursuing. I can copy reasonably well, but to create something new from scratch, I am not too sure. Blurb When it comes to responsibility who do you call? Professor Peanuts! Professor Peanuts got to his feet and nearly tripped over his two front paws. His eyes were so bleary he had trouble focusing and his belly drooped across the floor. He made a note to self to stay out of the pantry. Getting old is not for sissies, he thought, or for the hungry. He meandered up to the front door and nudged it open with his nose. I am learning everything I can about illustrating and drawing. I practice with depth, with color, with positioning, and what kids like such as bright primary colors. So, while I am learning, please bear with me as I change things up a bit.
The weather is such that we missed our grandson's wrestling tournament which is giving me a bit of the blues. It is nationwide and it has been touch and go for two days not knowing if he would wrestle again or not. So far, so good. He had one loss on points against a formidable opponent and we are waiting to hear from the daughter as soon as he wrestles again. Since this is nationwide he doesn't wrestle during the day, only in the evening because he's older. And since we can't get a hotel room we'd have to drive home through snow and possibly ice. Have a wonderful weekend. Remember to kiss your kids and gkids. They are so precious. And a special thank you to www.canva.com.
