Happy Holidays! From me to you...

Just a note to let you know how much I appreciate my family, friends, fans, and fellow Crohn's fighters. I wish I could say I felt better, but I don't. My next Remicade infusion is next Monday and I'm not much in the mood for eating. I've already dropped 7 pounds, but hey, not eating is better than feeling sick. Right? Right?

I imagine the truffles, the cakes, and pies.
Golden brown stuffing, turkey, and mashed potato skies.
Butter drips from the sun like rain
Promising a creaminess that doesn't cause pain.

Chocolate chips dance across my counter
Lining up like good little solders
There they will stay until my stomach stops rolling
Patience they say, until Remicade day.

I have way too much time on my hands.
