This is a pretty aluminum pot and pan set, but it is not for heavy use. Since I'm not a heavy user or fancy cook, so far these are doing me just fine. The pot and pan set is extremely thin and lightweight and I scratched it on first use, but that's what you get when you grab a metal utensil. There are no lids for the two pans so I had to scramble through the garbage for my old pan lids to find two that semi-fit. These pans are good for a college student or someone who does light cooking and that is all. Oh, and it is recommended that pot holders are used on the handles and low to medium heat is recommended when using the pans. It is suggested never to introduce them to high heat quickly if at all.
Update
Tonight I panned seared a steak using the cookware. I let the pan heat up slowly before introducing the steak. While the leavings did not wipe off, they did come off with a little help from a plastic brush with absolutely no damage to the cookware. One thing to note, I did have a set of knives with the same handle covers from the same company. Do not put these pans in the dishwasher as the handles will eventually begin to peel.
