That is Bella wagging her tail. She is definitely feeling better. She hasn't been in tail wagging mode for some time.
Also, she barked her desires at us again. Just yesterday she ran and barked at Dennis then ran and barked at me. We went down our list:
Hungry? Nope she just ate.
Wants her other blankey? Nope. It's underneath her favorite favorite blankey.
Ah ha! She wants her baby!!! Nope. Lammykins gets dropped on the floor as she gives me the what are you an idiot look.
I shrugged my shoulders at Dennis. He tells me she wants her ears scratched.
As she gets away from him she glances at the front door. I note her head movement.
SHE HAS TO GO POTTY!!!
I jumped off the couch and opened the front door. She promptly went outside to do her business. Before the surgery Bella always used the doggie door. After the surgery she has to go out the front door because her cone won't fit the doggie door. Apparently, Bella learns faster than we do.
My brother and his wife came up for the weekend. They brought Jimmy, the rescued weiner dog. He was very concerned with Bella and set himself up as her guardian. When my other sister-in-law, Karen, showed up at the house he did not make nice with her. Like I said, we are slow learners and didn't get it right away.
When Karen stepped closer to Bella, Jimmy jumped off the couch and nipped her pants. She stopped moving, which was clearly his intention, and we all broke into laughter, and a few tears, over this new behavior for Jimmy. Jimmy is a scardy-cat. Not so when it comes to Bella.
Our Bella is recovering well. When people say, poor Bella, I tell them to stop and tell her how beautiful she is. She loves it.
As I said, her other eye looks better but she has trouble seeing objects in half light so we make sure her area is well lighted. She has dropped about five pounds which she is determined to put back on.
We need to get through the next eleven days when she will be able to take off the cone. After that it will be back to normal. While we worry about her stitches, it is a relief to know the eye no longer pains her.
Time goes by swiftly.
And I nearly flew off the bed when Zero Point Energy was mentioned on the X Files last night. It is a premise for A Shadow of Time. ZPE is not well used and it was exciting seeing it put to use with Mulder and Scully.
