 What happens when heaven meets reality. Or the question might be better posed as what happens when reality meets heaven?
For those who read my books and for those who don't, I believe in intersecting lines that meet throughout heaven and Earth. It is when those guidelines meet that miracles happen. One of those guidelines hit me in the middle of the night, on a Sunday, about three weeks ago. I had a dream in which I saw the clearest picture of an angel on her knees, hands open, begging for assistance to help those trapped this side of reality in the unending war on drugs. In my dream she posed a question, who among us has innocent blood? Much to my surprise, my publisher e-mailed me on Monday and asked if I had a problem if they changed the book cover of Innocent Blood. Now this shocked me. I mean, it's not like I don't get intuitions and subtle guidance from the other side, but rarely does something happen so blatant. I agreed immediately and told her about my dream. The cover above is the result of those touching guidelines. Someone somewhere, had definite ideas about changing the cover and I am more than pleased. About the book: Danny Fisk has a secret no one outside his family would believe. Danny sees things others can’t: like ghosts and the future. In his teens, he used drugs to escape his gifts, but with help from his family, Danny cleaned up his life. For fifteen years, he lived the American Dream. He had a loving wife, kids, a great job, and proud parents. That ended when renewed pressure from his abilities drove him back to drug abuse. Now, Danny’s on a mission to save as many as he can from the streets that would destroy them all. Pursued by corrupt cops, drug cartels and his own inner demons, Danny must find a way to survive his gifts.
