Missing The Grandsons #proudgma

The little guy is Jack then and the bigger guy is Jack now. I wonder where the time went.

I love living in the foothills but it came with a high price. My littlest grands live around the corner from me while Jack and Jake are almost 4 hours away--given bad traffic.

While I get to see the day to day stuff with the ones who live close, I didn't get to do that with Jake and Jack. And now, their lives revolve around football, Crossfit, school, and wrestling and we are no longer big sports fans. You know, the Raiders and the As thing.


Sadly, we have missed so much. BUT and that is a big but, we get to watch Jack play football on the computer now! We missed last week's game because we are still trying to fit two households into one, but we will see him this Friday.

I guess it was Katelyn's birthday that got me to thinking how much time has gone by. I think the trick is to be mindful of the time we have with them now because none of them will ever be this young again.
