![]() Welcome to the Winter 2013 Blogger Book Fair. I hope you take advantage of the wonderful prizes and freebies that accompany the fair. This year, over 60 authors are participating. Every third person that leaves a comment (on this site) will receive a free copy of Gemini Rising in celebration of the completion of The Light and the Flame, the 2nd book in the Gemini series. Yay! My publisher is Crescent Moon Press. A group of enterprising women from the publishing field stepped out to create a place for us paranormal authors to live and create. I cannot express how much they mean to me. I was fooling around and created this video of the books they put out. I hope you enjoy it. And yes, I know I need to update the music. *grin* ![]() This is Gemini Rising. I'm a fan of a apocalyptic fiction and since I couldn't find the book I wanted to read, I wrote it instead. Gemini is a series which seems to set people back when they come to the ending. (Talk about strong emotion!) People wants everything tied up in a neat little bow, but with the end of the world, you just can't do that. There is more to Gemini than meets the eye. There's Native American lore, UFos, aliens, conspiracy, and more importantly, love. While scientists are running around the universe trying to find dark matter, I decided that the glue that binds us together is nothing more than love. Read on to find out where and how Gemini was created. ![]() Many thanks to Planetware.com and Sedona.com for the pictures. This is my favorite place to vacation. The pictures hardly do Sedona justice. The red and gray rock, the scent of pine, the fatasticamagorical sky that goes on forever, can create an appreciation within you that is hard to mimic anyplace on Earth. It is here, Gemini Rising begins. ![]() Woman Who Walks With Light, an ancient Anasazi saved from Earth, becomes Kate's closest confident when she is taken aboard ship. While traveling through Arizona, I found so many unusual sites and villages it was hard to pick just one. The Anasazi abruptly disappeared many hundreds of years ago. No one knows why or where they went---but there is speculation. ![]() Kate and her son, Ryan, take refuge inside a remarkable cave within this mountain. An ancient river runs beneath and in the dark, ledges can prove fatal. Since Gemini Rising is an apocalyptic novel, it is safe to say that the earth we know will no longer exist. But there are worlds beyond this one ripe for the taking. Or will Kate return home with her bond mate, Noah, to help usher in a new age? ![]() In Gemini Rising, Book 2, (Coming Soon!) The Light and the Flame, Noah and Kate once again meet adversity. The holy book Gemini Rising will point the way, but only Kate can unite them. Becoming a bond mate is much harder than she anticipated, and since human females are the most beautiful of all creation, she will have to walk through hell to find her way home. ![]() This is A Shadow of Time, a sci-fi horror about one dimension gone bad. Kellyn and John, coming from two different walks of life, meet, pondering the significance of their identical dreams. Shadow Ley, a mansion located in the Sierra Nevada foothills, is now home to Kellyn and her son, Scott. Widowed and pregnant, will she and John survive the convergence of worlds intact? Or will they be thrown into the maelstrom Shadow Ley has become? ![]() Blurb: Consumed by a childhood filled with terror and pain, Kellyn O’Brien strives to create the perfect family. Then, disaster strikes. Her husband is dead. Three weeks later, she discovers her son is heir to Shadow Ley, a nineteenth century estate located in the Sierra Nevada foothills. Still reeling from Michael's death, Kellyn moves to Shadow Ley. Soon after her arrival, the ordinary becomes the extraordinary: broken drinking glasses repair themselves, stair rails that were once old are now new, and suddenly the estate of Shadow Ley is not what it seems. She turns to the local historian and hears the tale of Shenahobet, the portal guardian, and the Hutto-pah, a tribe of Native Americans related to the Maya. She meets John, a doctor, who experiences visions of other times and places. Her dreams turn into nightmares with windows into past lives, hints of multidimensionality, and the promise of life beyond death. Legends abound and so Shadow Ley, the home Kellyn had hoped would bring peace to herself and her children, becomes mired first in doubt, then in terror, and finally in love eternal. ![]() Jackson, California is an old gold mining town. My brother lives in Ione, just a few miles from Jackson. We were up there driving around, visiting old mines and ghost towns when we came across a little used dirt path that had a street sign that said Reservation Road. Up a little farther and we came across an old mining mansion, now run down and falling apart. There had been a fire and all that was left was the rock foundation, a few pillars, and the fireplace. It was there A Shadow of Time was born. I hope you've enjoyed the blog hop. I know I have. Now I'm off to celebrate my husband's birthday with wine, steak, and baked potatoes. Thank you for joining me this week.
Next week? I've more surprises for you! (((hugs))) Louann Comments are closed.
