Hi. I am still alive. Of course, I have nearly emptied out my entire house for the garage sale this weekend. With three herniated discs and spinal stenosis, I lifted and moved large pieces of furniture, did uncountable loads of wash, threw away large quantities of clothing, and nearly divorced my husband.
Why? I have Salicylate sensitivity. I can't take more than two aspirins in a single day because it makes my ears ring, I can't sleep, I become nauseous, I get wheezy, and hyperactive. It makes me so sick. Which is why when the gastro put me back on Mesalamine I said nononono. To which he replied, all Mesalamine products are compounded differently and just because The worst part is I KNOW I have the sensitivity so why didn't I stop the med when people started mentioning, quite nicely, that they thought the new med might be causing me problems. It might have been better if they'd said, HEY LOUANN. WHY THE HELL ARE YOU MOVING THE ENTIRE HOUSE INTO THE GARAGE? Not to mention, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING TO YOUR BACK? Or how about just tie me up with a rope until I calm down. Which all seem like perfectly logical solutions to me today. Not so yesterday when I mentally divorced my husband for even mentioning I might be a little hyperactive. I am goal oriented and when I set a goal for myself I will achieve it. However, now that I am calmer I don't think I will divorce my husband. In fact, I am sure I won't, but I do feel sorry for him. He has put up with so much from me. It can't be easy living with a Crohn's patient. I was suppose to start off with four tablets of Mesalamine a day, but started with one tablet because of my previous reaction many years ago. On Saturday, I went to two tablets and by Sunday and three tablets all hell broke loose. Good God I will never touch that shit again. It is much like a Prednisone reaction and I hate that feeling. Well, it is what it is. I really wish they'd make pot legal so I can try something more natural. Seriously, how long do I have to wait? Comments are closed.
