I read this book in three days and with one bad dream directly attributed to this book...this was well-written with good character development...i have to say that the visual imagery reminded me of early stephen king works especially the visual images king described and the fear elicited in king's "the shining" in the scene from room 217 (room number might not be correct)...the suspense factor crescendo took me by surprise...if you like stories where you think you have it all figured out but enjoy being proven wrong...read this...

Biography

Joe grew up in Connecticut's Naugatuck Valley. A voracious reader since he was old enough to hold a book in his hands, he surprised his second grade teacher by using the word "invulnerable" (learned from a Superman comic book) in a sentence. He wrote his first story at the ripe old age of 11 and released his premiere novel, The Last Battleship, in 2012. His favorite authors and influences include Richard Matheson, Rod Serling, Agatha Christie, Stephen King, Alan Moore and Neil Gaiman.

When he's not writing, which is not often these days, Joe enjoys reading, baseball games (Go Yankees!), an MMO or two, driving his classic 1968 GTO and swimming.

He remains somewhere in the Naugatuck Valley to this day, and on cold nights when the moon is full, he is sometimes spotted wandering the moors in search of his next story idea.

I wanted to add a special thank you to all my friends who helped me promote Crohn's Awareness Week. Crohn's is a difficult and debilitating disease and one most difficult to discuss. Yet, it is my life. And there are those so much younger than me that have to cope with not only the disease but with a career and family as well. The disease is challenging even in the best of times.
