Just to wet your appetite for this Friday's FREE Kindle giveaway which runs through September 29th, I'd like to introduce you to Awaited by Lynn Rush aka Reese Monroe, or, well, I suppose it could be the other way around. It depends on just whom Lynn/Reese wants to be today and since she's not here, I can't ask her.

Awaited, Book Two, of the Wasteland series is not to be missed.

Russell, protector of Beka, Queen of the Guardians on Earth, is selected by Jessica, the Merus of Light, to find a female guardian, born on Earth during the last two centuries. Accompanied by Durk, Russell sets out to discover who she might be, when they are interrupted by an airplane accident.

A beautiful red-head distracts Russell. She is the woman who haunts his dreams--the one who is destined to be his--forever. Annabelle heals faster than the others, but is mute, a problem he is determined to cure.

Demons greet the duo after Annabelle is healed and no matter how many they kill, more appear to take their place. An ancient evil stalks the Guardians, vowing to silence them forever. Only one thing can save them.

A voice--now silent--yet waiting to be heard.

What a great read. Lynn Rush has done it again. Awaited can stand on its own. It is well-written, fast-paced, and rocks at capturing and keeping your attention. Awaited is absolutely perfect for an afternoon sta-cation.
