How exciting!

Crescent Moon Press is opening up a children's line of books. What a marvelous addition to a great publishing company. The blurb for the Dragon Egg isn't ready yet, but the cover is and it is delightful. Have a great time perusing the upcoming new releases. We'll start with author, KW Penndorf.

Biography

Author, KW Penndorf

Story time had always been KW’s favorite 'subject' in school. But when her
second grade teacher opted to read from a tattered old diary, KW’s view on books changed forever. Books were now alive, with adventures, dilemmas, far away locations, heroes, villains, drama, and quite frankly, story. Everything was so real, well at least in her imagination at any rate. She wanted to live in those stories... and she has.

In her senior year of high school KW interned at CBS three days a week,  making sure to keep her grades up or the gig would be off. By sheer nature of  the job, stories surrounded her there.

In college, she spent a semester abroad living with her sister and brother-in-law in Denmark–where, yes, one can only  imagine the crazy stories two sisters conjured up! Then after college, she moved to Germany and at the age of 25 she opened her own company – a language school, full of (you guessed it) stories abound. At 29 she moved back to the States,  bringing home with her the greatest story and souvenir ever – her husband.

On a train ride into NYC, a vision came to KW’s sleepy commuter mind: a girl finding a dragon egg in the middle of a Viking graveyard. Presto! The premise for her debut novel was born. A story, which KW hopes, will change a child’s view on books forever.

I’m Dakota Collins, a tough talking, eye patch wearing,  workaholic photography student. Why am I important? Well, maybe because I get to
spend an entire month with Vicious, only the sickest indie rock band out
there.

You see, I needed a subject for my Spring Showcase introspective in order to graduate. During a chance encounter at a club I’d been sent to cover for the Daily Gossip, our ironically named college paper, the  features writer I usually teamed up with introduced me to the band—by accident,
I might add. It involved a run in with a scary, bald bodyguard. Anyway, long  story short, I signed a contract to take pictures of Vicious.

I should have known their handsome yet way too serious for his own good bassist, Luka Visraya, wouldn’t be able to keep his hands to himself. He’s gorgeous and all, but the way he smiles spelled trouble with a capital L.
I’m in for a long month with him around.

Crazy shit happens and then some. So, if you want the skinny on Vicious and the events revolving around my stay at Lunar Manor, read my story.

Biography

Author, Kate Evangelista

When Kate Evangelista was told she had a knack for writing stories, she did the next best thing: entered medical school. After realizing she wasn't going to be the next Doogie Howser, M.D., Kate wandered into the Literature department of her university and never looked back. Today, she is in possession of a piece of paper that says to the world that she owns a Literature degree. To make matters worse, she took Master's courses in creative writing. In the d, she realized that to be a writer, none of those things mattered. What really mattered?
Writing. Plain and simple, honest to God, sitting in front of your computer, writing. For more information on Kate and her writing, you can visit her website: www.kateevangelista.com

Not all exorcists are created equal- especially those that are “marked”.

When defrocked ex-priest, Jimmy Holiday, agrees to help an old
friend’s sick daughter, Lucy, he unearths unexpected horrors. Blackmoor, his friend’s new residence, has a dark history that makes it appear almost alive.  Jimmy must decide if Lucy is only ill, or if the haunting of the house and her apparent possession are real.

After the house begins affecting him as well; seeing colors of
magic and his voice taking on an unusual power, Jimmy discovers that he is apparently “marked”.  Whatever being “marked” means, Jimmy doesn’t care. He wants to help Lucy. Helping Lucy means performing the exorcism.

Jimmy knows the ceremony, but it's belief that matters. And if a demon is using a little girl as a meatsuit, his faith had better be strong enough to kick it back to Hell. Otherwise, he might damn them both.

Biography

Author, Danielle DeVor

Danielle DeVor spent her early years fantasizing about vampires and watching “Salem’s Lot” way too many times.  After living briefly in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, she moved back to her hometown to write.  When not writing and reading about weird things, you will find her hanging out at the nearest coffee shop, enjoying a mocha frappuccino.  Visit her at danielledevor.wordpress.com

These are some great stories to look forward to in the near future. Check back often to find out what's new for readers and writers at CMP.
