A Writer's Life Interrupted Welcomes Mary McVicker!

=Today I'd like you to meet Mary McVicker a Crohn's disease survivor and photographer. Here, in her own words, is her story.

I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease in February. 2012.  I also deal with Sphincter of Oddi Disease, which is a duct beside your pancreas.  Between that and CD, I deal with my share of health issues. I live in a small town in east central Indiana.  I love to travel, when my health allows.  Even if it’s for a couple hours driving around to shoot, I’ll  take it.  Photography has really been a blessing in my life.  I’ve been published.  I’ve done freelance work for newspapers.  I’ve had my photos in juried art shows, and I’ve had my work hang in a gallery.  I also take family/senior/wedding photos.

Photography is such an escape for me.  My Nikon is an extension of myself.  I don’t know what I’d do without my camera.
