I admit to playing around. Having fun. Fishing. Gambling. OK, so just a few penny machines, but you get my drift. I wake up in the morning with grin on my face and people wonder why I'm so happy.

This happiness comes from within. It's a deep seated joy at being alive,  something born in someone who struggles for health while fighting a difficult disease. Sometimes, I feel ashamed for being happy. This joy comes from an answered prayer. It may not last long, it could end tomorrow, but life is  beautiful and I am so grateful for this time.

Yesterday, I received the good news that The Light and the Flame is ready for publication after only 2 edit rounds. I sent my editor a little note, asking if she enjoyed the story, because that's really all that matters to me. It's not about the money--I assure you. I just enjoy telling a story and hopefully, that story will buy someone a one-way ticket to adventure.

My books have romantic elements, but they are not all about romance. There is good and evil and sometimes good wins and occasionally evil gets the upper hand. In A Shadow of Time, there is a stand off between the two, making the reader draw their own conclusion.

The Light and the Flame is one woman's journey through the ethers, searching for her bond mate and children. Kate faces the nature good and evil and in the end, discovers her own special reality. It really is a beautiful story. One I am proud of writing.

Now it's about waiting for the cover at which time I will do a cover reveal. Those are always so exciting.
