We are broken people living in a broken world. That's my mantra anyway. We all come with health issues, emotional issues, and just issues in general. You know, family, work, all the stuff that comes with living life. A couple of years ago the three of us, Scarlett Redmoon, Bettysue Laurin and myself got together to try to make people happy. Obviously we can't fix things so we give things away. Scarlett makes glasswork, Bettysue does all kinds of stuff like crocheting, photography (and cooking), yum, and I write books.
This year, Scarlett is on sabbatical so it's just Bettysue and me. We are always on the lookout for other people who like to give things away so if you are interested check out my contact page and send me a note. Last year we gave away some lovely gifts to cancer and Crohn's patients. This year we will do the same. If you would like to sponsor someone who needs a smile use my contact page to submit their name. Doing Three Hearts has been so rewarding, but when my mother-in-law passed away last summer I forgot about everything but my grief. It was Bettysue who brought it back to my attention when she began posting to our Facebook page. Somehow that made its way through to my brain. I thought about it for awhile and then I posted to give away a signed copy of my latest release. Even though Crohn's is flaring, almost immediately I felt better. My spirits rose, the pain while still there was bearable, and I felt happy, really happy for the first time in weeks. So Three Hearts is already working its magic and for that I am grateful. Now, back to my life that is constantly interrupted. I wanted to introduce you to a GREAT website on inflammation. This is crohnsandcolitis.com where you can check for symptoms, get solid information, and learn about how to cope with your disease and your symptoms. Oh,and before I forget. Head on over to 23andme.com and sign up for your free DNA testing kit. You have to have Crohn's to participate. Comments are closed.
