I got to welcome back a bit of a flare over the last few days. Seems my reduction in pain medication after my shoulder surgery set off a few issues. It was a sharp reminder of what I spent the last ten years living with. Seriously. I don't know how I did it. One medication after another, one fail after another. Dear God, I don't know what I will do if this comes back full force. The pain was pretty terrific and since I'm not used to it anymore (it is amazing how fast you revert to normal) the situation became more overwhelming. I was ** this close to going to the emergency room which I hate to do because all they give you is a shot to relax you and more pain meds, and since I think it was the pain meds that set it off there was no use exasperating the situation. Eventually it eased up, but I am still in some pain and I have to admit it's a bit of a downer. I so want to be normal. But, you can't live in this place for long or you end up pretty depressed. So, I put on a bright blue scarf with silvery highlights and used it as a sling this morning. More for a little comfort than anything else. My arm is a bit tired because I have been using it more than usual. It is good to feel your strength returning. Damn the Crohn's, it will not take my peace of mind. I met some great friends on FB that have Crohn's. Most of the groups you have to be invited to or you can invite yourself. If you go to your FB page, click on the magnifying glass and start typing Crohn's you will find them. The amount of information, groups, friends out there will blow your mind. Don't be shy. Come join us! I also began writing again. Redemption is being done over and I have a publisher's bite. Yesterday was a bit of an adventure for me as I delved into a book I hadn't looked at in several years. First off, the novel needs help. I can't believe anyone was even interested, but they were and once again I am lost in a paranormal novel with a reality bite. Hugs and kissed to all! Louann Comments are closed.
