Today and tomorrow our guest on CMP Recovery is an interview with Jenn Nixon a survivor of Hurricane Sandy. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her and her family. Fortunately, Jenn got her power on last night around 1:30 a.m. Let's hope the Nor'easter misses her so she can luxuriate in a hot bath, sip some coffee, and write like there's no tomorrow. Jenn had this to say about her area: I think there are some people out there who don't really know how bad it is here on the east coast in the US. There are people in NYC diving in dumpsters to get food. There are people who have lost everything. I'm okay, I have a place to sleep and it's not too cold, there are places to eat by me too. But please, if you can, help out a neighbor or loved one by opening your doors to them. Let them come over and get warm. Give them some soup. Let them use your electricity. And please, for the love of all that is holy, don't complain on Facebook about trivial stuff. Wait a couple of weeks. Again I'd like to thank all of you for your support. CMP authors are an amazing group of people who are doing what they can to support our publishing house during their time of crisis. My prayers go out to the survivors of Hurricane Sandy and to the families who wait to hear about missing loved ones. If you can, please take the time and visit our publisher at www.crescentmoonpress.com. I'm sure you will find many books that interest you. Keep checking under Jenn's name for her soon-to-be announced release date. Congratulations, Jenn. Biography Jenn Nixon Jenn's love of the written word started the year she received her first diary and Nancy Drew novel. Throughout her teenage years she continued to keep a diary of her personal thoughts and feelings but also graduated from Nancy Drew to other mystery suspense novels. She also found inspiration among English and American writers of the past. Jenn often adds a thriller and suspense element to anything she writes be it Romance, Science Fiction, or Fantasy. Jenn was born, raised, and still resides in New Jersey. She is a member of RWA and Liberty States Fiction Writers. An active blogger and social media participant, Jenn likes to stay on top of what's hot and popular around the world whether it's TV, Books, Movies, or Politics. When not writing, Jenn spends her free time reading and observing pop culture. COMING SOON! Well, thank you, Pat. Let's get the word out. CMP needs our help right now. Steph and Marlene probably don't even know we're doing this, so let's show the world just how awesome we think they are.

Thanks, Katie. And thanks to Christine for her wonderful interview. How wonderful it would have been to fall asleep to someone typing on an old typewriter each night. 11/2/2012 05:05:19 am
Great interview with Christine, Louann. I can relate to the way you approach a project, Christine. I do it in much the same way.

Great interview! Hang in there, Kate. We're thinking of you. 11/3/2012 06:41:13 am
Thanks, Louann, for hosting me on your site today. I was actually able to see everything on my iPhone. We'll turn the generator on later. We'll probably get power back by this Wednesday so that will be 10 days. But we're surviving. The hardest part is losing so much of the Jetsey shore and knowing how so many people are suffering. But still there's nothing like living in Jersey.

Thanks for dropping by Jody. Hey Louann and Kate! Awesome interview. I really hope things get better for you soon, Kate. I live in Delaware, so the eye of Sandy went right over top of us. We missed the devastation by 30miles since the brunt of the storm was just to the north of us. I just hope we don't get blasted by that Nor'easter everyone is talking about. Hang tight! I'll continue to keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers. Big hugs!!!!

Seem like Sandy is such a trivial name for the mess it has caused. Best of luck to you, Jenn. 11/5/2012 02:21:17 am
Thank you all so much for your thoughts. I am happy to say I got my power on this morning at 1AM. No time to enjoy it though, back to work! I hope you and your families are all safe and warm too!

Thanks for dropping by! 11/5/2012 06:23:46 am
It's great to read about my fellow CMP peeps and what a selfless thing you are doing, Louann! I'm keeping Steph and Marlene and everyone else who has been affected the hurricane in my thoughts. It's been devastating in NY and NJ. Here in Maryland we expected the worst but came through unscathed. Kate and Jenn, I hope things keep improving for you! Hang in there and stay strong!

Thanks for dropping by. It's not about being selfless, but just being able to do something is better than nothing. I figure they're not able to get word out about their books and Steph is busy saving her part of New Jersey. Marlene is--well I just hope she's safe. I'll post CMP news until everyone is back online.

That would be my comment up there. Have no idea why it says Cindy. Sorry Cindy. :)
This is wonderful and so nice of you to do. My heart and thoughts go out to everyone up north dealing with the aftermath of superstorm Sandy.
