Hey, Jody (Kessler) ! Thanks for tagging me in this blogging challenge. Jody's book Death Lies Between Us is a 2014 finalist in the RomCon Readers' Crown for Best first book and Paranormal! Yay, Jody! Today, I'll answer my 4 blogging challenges then I get to ‘tag’ 3 more authors! What am I working on? I am working on a novel I have retitled, Redemption. Inspired by a true story, Redemption is fiction with a bit of fact. It chronicles the story of a young man who is psychic and addicted to methamphetamines. We get to walk with him as he confronts the evil in his world and his rise into redemption with the aid of his family and the unknown entity he calls God. This novel has consumed me, so I’ve put Gemini Rising 3 onto the back burner. I already have a publisher interested in Redemption, so let’s hope I can bring the novel up to their speed. J How does my writing differ from others of its genre? I like to take risks. I hate following a ‘formula’ and I enjoy exploring the outer edges of society and spirituality. My characters are normal every day people put into extraordinary situations which makes writing about them so much fun. Why do I write what I do? My mind is filled stories. It’s always been this way and it is uniquely me. I love exploring history and archaeology, throw in some paleontology and geology, and I am one happy woman. There is no way I would have been able to get a degree in all the things that interest me. Writing has given me everything I want and need in terms of life goals. How does my writing process work? Oh, it used to be so easy. I could just sit at a computer and let it flow. Then I got Crohn’s disease. I am slower than I used to be. I like to write when I feel good and my mind is clear, but I’ve learned I can’t wait for that anymore. Now I set the afternoons aside to write even when I don’t feel like it. The nice thing about it is that writing takes me away from myself. I don’t think about who or what or where I am. I think about my characters and what will happen to them next.
