I am almost finished with the editing of The Light and the Flame. I am so excited about it, that I'm sharing the blurb I wrote yesterday for the back of the book.
Ripped from her deathbed, Noah transports Kate to the Olam Yetzirah. They seek the advice of the archangel Michael in how best to get back to Earth and their newborn daughter, Lucia, of whom the prophecy in Gemini Rising speaks.
Destined to be empaths, concern ripples through the Olam, as Kate is unable to make the transition from human to bond mate. Uriel is instructed by Michael to be Kate’s mentor while Noah is dispatched to Naresh, his home planet, and to his people to whom the Light no longer speaks.
Will Kate become the bond mate she is meant to be? Will Noah find welcome with his people or will they despise him for taking the Light from their souls. Most important of all, will the prophecy of Lucia be fulfilled, or will Belial, demon of Hades, murder her in a fit of jealous rage.

CHAPTER ONE
From the book Gemini Rising: To think is to be.
Weak from giving birth, Kathryn Kelly waited for the whirling that engulfed her to stop. She had just kissed her newborn daughter good-bye before glancing at her son, Ryan. The despair etched on his young face was almost more than she could bear.
With her bond mate’s arms around her, Noah had swept her from the birthing room and into a place of swirling fog and bone-chilling cold. Fear bit her belly like fishhooks and he tightened his grip, leaving her wondering if he sensed her thoughts. She hadn’t seen him in months, the entire time she was pregnant. Then only moments ago, he had appeared in front of her—whisking her from certain death.
Just this morning, Jason, her husband, had waylaid her as she’d returned home from the clinic. Itching for a fight, he’d accused her of infidelity and condemned her as a mother, much like usual. Jealous of Noah and the child she was soon to bear he refused to accept that their marriage had been over for years.
The argument had started her contractions. Since there were no hospitals or doctors, she headed upstair to birth the child on her own. At the very last moment she hemorrhaged, death only seconds away when her bond mate saved her.
The ground bumped against her feet and Noah’s grip lessened. Dizzy, she opened her eyes, resting against him, too exhausted to stand on her own. The revolving cloud calmed revealing a mist that sparkled blue, somewhat like Prana, a mythological life source she had read about in times past.
“Oh, God, please no.” The words were out of her mouth before she could stop them, the pain of losing Ryan and Lucia uppermost in her mind. “I have to go back, Noah. They need me.”
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!
