Not to be a Debbie Downer but I am sick. It started over the weekend. I woke up Friday and didn't feel terrific. Today it is worse. I also have a staph infection on two fingers on my right hand and a large one on my left front pointer finger.
I have been battling the ones on my fingertips for months now, but the one on my left hand scared me. It started as an itch and when I scratched it, it hurt like hell. I wondered if I'd been bit but couldn't see anything. A few hours later and this weird looking red bubble formed that began to leak blood. Shortly after it exploded, and pus formed. Now it is a red flattened volcano oozing pus and the redness is spreading to both knuckles. If this doesn't improve soon I will have to stop Remicade. This isn't a decision I come to easily as Remicade saved my life, but I just don't know what to do anymore. I can't live on antibiotics because they upset Crohn's. I was researching the holistic route and found some say to use honey, some tea tree oil, and some recommend a bath with a half a cup of bleach thrown in. At the moment, to call me depressed is an understatement. I have a headache and I am, in addition to depression, completely pissed off! I have looked everywhere for a vector, cleaned everything with bleach and alcohol and still it comes back. I keep my hands out of water and well moisturized. I even wear gloves. I hate going to the doctors but it seems once again I have to submit myself to more medication. It also concerns me it might be mrsa which means I may be passing it to someone The bleach solution is sounding better and better.

Honey. I'm so sorry. I know you hate going to docs but you might need to go. I love you. Please consider going.

I did. They cultured for mrsa and put me on more antibiotics. Comments are closed.
