I threw my back out. Yup. What a miserable condition! I've never done this before. My mother and sister both had back issues (my sister has a steel rod next to her spine), but since I got Crohn's disease I figured at least one hereditary condition would pass me by.
Not.
Nor did I know that when you have Crohn's a back condition can come with it. It's called spongie something. The name's too long to bother spelling it out. My mother had it though she never had Crohn's.
The pain is in the lower spine area--not so good for sitting or standing. I spent yesterday in bed with my feet up on the air. Thank heaven's for laptops. While I couldn't write, I could read. Since I bore easily, I had the TV on, a book to my side, and my laptop on my chest. That way I could switch topics whenever I wanted.
Ever seen the Perry Mason show? Me neither. Until yesterday. It's an old black and white series and by the time I was done I'd watched 10 shows. Nothing like fast forwarding through those commercials. My cousin, Casey Sander, plays detectives in TV shows, so I find detective roles interesting.
Vicodin helps some for my back. I can't take anti-inflammatories because of my condition. Ibuprophen is taken up in the gut. Not so good for Crohn's. That said, I did go to work. I stretched often and was thankful it was a slow day.
A fellow author has a new release on the 6th of June. I won't tell you what it so so the suspense can build. It's a good novel. Full of suspense and romance.
I'm heading home now for more pain pills and bed rest. Whoopee!
