The Adventures of Leaf
"The Adventures of Leaf" is a charming narrative that captivates both the young and the young at heart. It chronicles the saga of a maple leaf, precariously clinging to its tree, only to be severed by a brisk autumn breeze. Through her ensuing escapades, she gains wisdom about life and the bonds of friendship. While she fears her existence has ended, the emergence of a new bud on the same tree come spring assures us that Leaf's essence has taken on a new form.

For the author, the "Journey" series symbolizes the essence of life: a series of voyages. Some paths we select, others are thrust upon us. Some are smooth, others fraught with challenges. It's a timeless story of existence and evolution, of learning and maturing. Together, we navigate these paths, lightening the load of the journey.

One reviewer puts it: This is a sweet story filled with wisdom about life, change, growing old, losing our way, and losing those we love. Carroll has tackled one of the most difficult subjects in life and made it entertaining and accessible to children. I’ve added this to my counseling library for children dealing with illness, death, and loss. For the author, the "Journey" series symbolizes the essence of life: a series of voyages. Professor Peanuts and His Pals

Who is the go-to dog when other animals are in trouble?

Professor Peanuts!

Since baseball season started, Rufus and Rascal's pet parents have neglected them. Their food bowl has been empty, and to make matters worse, their water bowl dried up this morning.

"Son," Rufus said, "we have no choice but to consult Professor Peanuts."

Rascal stood up. "Who is that, Dad? Is he an actual professor? A real peanut? Does he resemble a peanut?"

What unfolds is a lesson in responsibility as Professor Peanuts teams up with Rufus and Rascal to take their pet parents to court!

Reviews

Professor Peanuts and his Pals is a whimsical tale about a pair of dogs who find themselves being neglected by their pet parents. Since baseball has started the children of the house have forgotten to feed them and give them water. The father and son pet duo walk to the most learned pug, Professor Peanuts a few doors away to see if he has a solution to their problem. He sets a plan in motion to make the owners remember their responsibility. A great book about the responsibility of pet ownership, loyalty, as well as problem solving. Fun book to read with an early reader.

The Gathering of the Winds

High above the earth and beyond the clouds is the City of Wind, a mystical place where winds are born and named. Here, a tiny breeze embarks on a journey to become a gust, and then a gale. Time is measured in snurs and snips, with a snur akin to a human month. Each breeze faces the pivotal decision of joining a grand wind, be it the mighty North, the West, the East, or the South Wind.

This is the tale of Aanjay.

Aanjay is a diminutive breeze that has not yet been transformed into a gust. He harbors grand ambitions, but he must choose his path before he can merge with the Earth's winds. Embarking on an odyssey, Aanjay will discover the essence of friendship and the meaning of life.

The Reluctant Reader

Hi, I'm Jack, and today stood out from the rest.
It was a great day that I didn't see coming. I knew my spelling test was due today, and I was nervous. Reading and spelling are not my skills, though my mom says they are learned behaviors, not talents. Not that that makes sense to me anyway.

Most days are a mixed bag. Some are good, some not so good, and then some catch me off guard, like today.

When my alarm went off this morning, I thought it would be like every other day. You know, wake up, go into the bathroom, clean up, eat breakfast, fight with Jacob, go to school, go to practice, go home, do homework, eat dinner, fight with Jacob, get yelled at by the parents, watch TV, go to bed.

But little did I know, today I had a surprise in store.
